"100 Faces, No. 35"

The green you see is the ground I painted onto - after finishing the head and shoulders, I left it, thinking it was perfect as is. Great strong color, just loved painting on it.

I agree with leaving the bg as is - it really sings against the reddish hues in his skin!

I like the background. I like his skin. But what I really like is his immediacy. It's as though you caught him in the middle of a sentence. Wonder what he'a about to say?

His skin tones are beautiful - very rich in color and energy with your brush strokes. His expression is so interesting. The bright green background adds to the total vibration.
