My swimming buddy, Ferris. I mistakenly thought it was Ginger, Ferris's little sister. They both love the pool. No animals were harmed during the making of this painting.
can I dare make a critique on a Karin Jurick painting...forgive me..something seems a little off with the compostion...what if you pulled him ahead a little and put the movement of brushwork behind him and left the water still in front...and possibly a tiny big of suggestion of figure under the water...sorry karin.
I absolutely love this painting, and I truly believe that you have talent, considering I can't even draw a heart, let alone a flower! :) My mom's a former artist and photagrapher, and your painting brings back so many wonderful memories! Thanks, Briana

"You should keep on painting no matter how difficult it is, because this is all part of experience, and the more experience you have, the better it is... unless it kills you, and then you know you have gone too far." ~ Alice Neel

Did he tread water the whole time you were painting or did you give the model a break and tape his position?
