"Pool Pom"

4 x 4"
oil on masonite

My swimming buddy, Ferris. I mistakenly thought it was Ginger, Ferris's little sister. They both love the pool. No animals were harmed during the making of this painting.

can I dare make a critique on a Karin Jurick painting...forgive me..something seems a little off with the compostion...what if you pulled him ahead a little and put the movement of brushwork behind him and left the water still in front...and possibly a tiny big of suggestion of figure under the water...sorry karin.

Did he tread water the whole time you were painting or did you give the model a break and tape his position?

I absolutely love this painting, and I truly believe that you have talent, considering I can't even draw a heart, let alone a flower! :) My mom's a former artist and photagrapher, and your painting brings back so many wonderful memories!
Thanks,
Briana
