"Street Walker"

6 x 6"
oil on masonite
sold

The small, dark creature barely lit up on the street is my black cat Willy. Occasionally he will join us when we walk the dogs - creating an amusing pet parade. A summer night scene from the street where I live.

Man! Do I love the treatment of the tree top leaves in the last two. Now if you could get the cat to ride on the dogs back...... :) Loving it.

I'm right there with Mark. The night sky and trees are magic. Every summer memory of the east coast rushed over me. Sometimes your work leaves me speechless. Beautiful, beautiful work. jb

Hi Karin!

Ok the atmosphere in this one is unbelievable! I find it really hard to believe that you start out with the same little piece of primed masonite that I am looking at on my easel! I bought the brushes you use, I have many of the same colors you suggested in the workshop but HOLY CRAP is the result the same??? I think not! I'm not tryng to be you, but a version of me with a lot more "you" would suit me just fine.
Wonderful! I used to think your museum scenes were my favorite, but these night/dusk/glowy neighborhood things are just yummy!

I love the color, contrast, and lighting on this piece. I have to say Karin I don't how you are to take so many unassuming everyday moments and transform them into great art.

Bravo

Karin, the mood you create with this piece is incredible. I'm right there on the street. Listening to the quiet and feeling the breeze.
