"In The Pink"

6 x 6"

Adding to my series ATL to NYC & Back - a small study of two girls, seemingly sisters, both dressed alike in their pink. They were transfixed on Johannes Vermeer's 'Study of a Young Woman', in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Love this one- your brushwork just rocks every time! Gotta love the way you painted the hoodie on the sister on the left! Sweet!

Wow daring to do the girl with the pearl earring on a tiny 6x6? How little is she, like a half inch? I tip my hat to you. Do you think someday you'll be redoing these in large format? I think your museum series would be wonderful as a large exhibition. They're so fun to look at. I love the body language you capture. We've seen them all before...

Karin, are you ever going to publish a book with the paintings of people looking at paintings? I'd love one...
There isn't one painting of those that isn't absolutely great.

I am working on it as we speak, and thank you for the kind remarks.
