Put anyone near a window, with good light, and I'll want to paint them. From inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art - and adding to my series ATL to NYC & Back.
This is beautiful and I like it a lot, but I have a question. If the light is coming over the subject's left shoulder shouldn't the window jamb be in shadow?

you're right the light makes people look so different, alas to the ones who 'walk' in the dark

I really feel like I just walked into this room on a sunny, afternoon....a tangible sense of being there.
Beautiful painting! I love the feel of it, the light just draws you in.
