I don't even want to KNOW what that baby face did to get his mug shot taken! Great painting Karin - i so love your brush strokes and knowledge of color - just so much fun to see what you're up to!
Love this, Karen. I am curious about how you are corralling your victims. Are you working from life or photographs? Did you get folks to volunteer to pose or do you hire models? How long does one of these portraits take to do? And finally, how on earth do you put up with such nosy inquiries as mine?
Wow, had to look twice when this popped up in my screen. It has such a whismical quality to it, maybe the light background or the expression on his face. You are always so good at catching some kind of feeling in your paintings.

I love your portraits- they are more mysterious then your usual paintings :) Can't wait to see them all.
Karin-these are wonderful. And I just love that they are from mugshots. Great idea.
