"100 Faces, No. 2"

My mom would always point out that skin contains all ranges of color, not just what you see at a glance. Something that I find most fascinating and fun when painting humans. Today, it's all about more exercises.

Your mom was right, but what fascinates me is how much color you seem to get in one brush stroke! Looking close in on one of your portraits is as interesting as a Chuck Close but micro vs mega.

As always, Karin, amazing! So are they really mug shots?

Yes they are painted from mug shots - I like the diversity.

how in the hell (yes, hell) do you do such a great painting in 4" square inches! I just don't get how such wonderful things happen in such a small space. What size brush are you using!! It's fabulous and it might even be the "new" you?

Karin, Where do you find these mugshots?

I bet any one of these guys would think they look far better in your painting then they thought they looked in the mug shot. You're paintings make everyone beautiful! These are terrific Karin!
