"Do Well & Prosper"

5 x 7"
oil on masonite

A quiet evening in Charleston, South Carolina - where the porch light is still on and the red door, according to Feng Shui, brings success and prosperity to those who reside here. Perhaps we should all paint our front doors red to get this recession over with.

Wonderful ambiance! The reflection from the porch light really radiates and warms the entire piece. Gotta go paint my door red.

I have always thought how wonderful it would be to paint the dark... you have captured it here with such atmosphere. r.

Great nocturn. Was this painted on location or from a photo? I didn't know this about red doors either. I have one. Depending on your meaning for doing well and prospering, I think I'm there.

Great work, as usual.

Ah, the red door! Always a welcome sign. My brothers at Sigma Phi Epsilon know what I'm taliking about. I do like the overall picture though, dark yet inviting.

I enjoyed these paintings. My most favorite city is Charleston. My sister is there and I felt a grand connection to her while viewing your painting. I appreciate this work and I thank you for giving us a glimpse into your talent.
