Karen, I am a new follower to your blog and am loving your paintings. I'm intrigued by the size of you paintings, they feel so much bigger. Thanks for the inspiration!
Just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying the work of this series. It is wonderful, brings mystery and intrigue to mind in an otherwise simple and quiet life. You are keeping me inspired! Thank you
Just found your blog...so glad a painting blog made it on the list. I love your brush strokes...so bold and powerfull and full of painterly energies..... I adore your use of colour, its richness, its texture.... you've made me excited about doing landscapes again.... Red door is like a series I have been thinking of, of Doorways and gateways as a juncture to new beginnings. But I love your titles as well...as in Construction Site....where I see images of my own children here on our caribbean island beach.... (I kinda get tired of painting beach scenes...there is little else to paint on a tropical island..LOL)
I love your non museum subjects so very much (though those are wonderful too)...You capture something that I can't quite express. A beautiful scene, Karin.

Oh goodness - I love this one - great job Karin!!!
Karin,
Your composition featuring the dark shape with the more neutral shapes surrounding it is so strong.
Bravo!
