"The Golden Hour"

10 x 7"
oil on panel
sold

Happy Monday.  Just had to mention that if you haven't watched Neil deGrasse Tyson on the new show 'Cosmos', don't miss it - it should be required watching for everyone.   It's not about art, but it inspires the imagination and the visuals are outstanding.

On to the new painting - a golden retriever taking in the shade as her mom takes in a good book.  From the beach on Hilton Head Island.

"Old Guard"

6 x 6"
oil on masonite
sold

When I got back to painting a couple of days ago, I realized I was suffering from nitpickyitis - a result of taking some time off. So I warmed up with several mugshots until I loosened up again.
My goal is to complete my series ATL to NYC & Back, continuing on with my walk up 5th Avenue, on the Upper East Side where I spotted an adorable, old Golden Lab loyally waiting at the front door of a townhouse.

A Benefit For Animal Lovers

The Howard/Mandville Gallery is hosting Art To The Rescue - a Benefit for Pasado's Safe Haven, an animal rescue outside of Seattle. This organization saves and rehabs dogs, cats and farm animals, most who have been neglected or abused. Three of my paintings will be included in the show - a portion of the sales will be donated to those animals in need. Hats off to them.
