I couldn't help but see most of the landscape and structures as an Edward Hopper painting - this new piece may show the influence of his work - the stark surfaces, angles, shadows and a struggle to stay fairly simplistic. I was so enamored with these windows, each had their own color combination, multitudes of warm/cool grays.

Karen, quite amazing how you have captured that stark hopperesque atmosphere. r.
I've been subscribed to your feed for quite a while and the last few posts for some reason hang when I click/scroll in them in Outlook and eventually pop up a "contacting //blogger googleuser conte.. for imformation" message. Just wondering if anyone else had a problem. (i dont have a problem with your older posts which are still in my inbox)
Great Art BTW!
Wonderful piece--the stark angularity and limited palette, yet still such a painterly feel.
I love the spa for the sky color and then the brown and beige as the house. I use those colors for my day job as a textile designer. Great colors and I love this painting!
I love this piece, its simplicity is inviting....
(to Steven: I'm having that kind of problem too, with many blogs, and I know of people having had the same trying to enter to mine. It's something with blogger, I guess)
Love this.
Ditto to Cathyann's comment. You have such a strong and identifiable style...as any great Artist should! Wonderful simplicity.
