"Dog Day Afternoon"

I painted this guy once before on a smaller scale - just love him and the summer colors surrounding his little plot in the sun. Painting the scene a bit larger allowed more details, more of an impact I think. One of my all-time favorites.

So, so good Karin. The clarity of your colors is amazing!

Of course we're very happy to see you paint anything, but more dogs showing up means they're on your mind. Always a good thing!

This is a HUGE painting for you. 4" x 4" girl. You have given this sweet bassett hound such personality. My first dog was a bassett named Cleopatra.

I heartily agree that this is a fantastic painting. No one does this like you do. Such beautiful detail. Controlled looseness, I call it.
Are we going to be treated to photos of the new puppies? :D
