"Blues Brothers"

9 x 12"

I'm back in the game. My week was odd ~ two appliances broke as if it were a sign to stay home, but I managed to get away and headed to Alabama for a long drive. Can't say I captured some stellar images, but it was good just to leave the state of Georgia, if only for a day. I forced myself to take time off of both my frame shop and painting - which felt weird but very nice. One of those days was so cozy - an all-day rain - and I ended up painting this piece in my pj's.

Love this piece and you sure come up with some telling titles! I bet it was good to get away more than you realize - welcome back!

Your paintings are always wonderful. I especially love this one for its highlights down the man's pant legs and then the deep rich darks of the coat and Picasso.

I am glad to hear you had a nice break! Liz

That was a short break. ;)
Maybe we should all send you a picture of where we live, and you could feel like you've been on vacay.

I'll send some shots I took last weekend around beautiful downtown Defiance, Missouri.

;)

Cold weather has arrived - I never get tired of looking at these museum pieces. And Erika is right on with how well you title them.

Don't you just LOVE days like that? PJ's all have paint on them, though.... I really like this painting and would say for sure you're 'back in the game'! Sorry about your appliances, though, from someone who's grateful every week that the washer/dryer/fridge/dishwasher don't gang up an die!

Oh, Karen, if one of your appliances was the OVEN - let it go - I went without the oven part of the stove for over a year - lots of stir-fry and grilled food! :)

My favorite part is the red shoes -- with the gold floor and the blues, just Perfect.
