If I ever make it to the big time - I'll have 17 air conditioners in my studio, all blowing directly on me. And a swimming pool. It is hot.

This moment taken from the Art Institute of Chicago, a woman standing beside her likeness in Modigliani's 'Woman with a Necklace'.

Hey, you should try to give a workshop at the Acadia workshop center here in Maine. It's 58 out right now. They have a hotel at the center 50 feet from the Atlantic. If you get too hot, you could just dip your feet in the water and watch them turn blue, ie. waters cold too. They had to tear down the beaver dam today cause the road was flooding.

Karin,
I go to your blog everyday and am in awe of your ability. I wish I could paint everyday, but life gets in the way. But thanks to artists like you and so many other "Daily Painters", I feel like I get to visit a mini museum everyday, which feeds my artistic soul.

Hi, Karin~
Another great painting. It's amazing how much detail you can create in your style. Amazing!

I think the time is coming when you can install central air ;)
Yes, it is 63 damp degrees here on the South Shore of Boston on the 9th of August and I'm not complaining.
Yes! come to New England, I'd sign up.
