"Are The Stars Out Tonight"

20 x 8"

oil on masonite

sold

This new painting reveals something you don't see in the small piece done a few days ago - the old shed lit up in a great, citrus green hue, as well as the thick trees above the light. There is a hint of a clear, starry sky done in a purple/navy tone, slightly visible beyond the thickness of trees. This was great fun to paint.

Karin . . .This is an arresting piece! While I am sure it is quite different in person than on line, it really shows off your knowlege of color and color relationships. Very, very captivating work!!

Hats off to you!

When I look at this painting I have memories of traveling all day and arriving at my grandparents home and they would have the front porch light on to welcome us. Love the way you handled the night lights!
