I went ahead and finished the undone - perhaps you can better judge with this image. I'm stumped whether it's a success or not. No doubt I need to walk away and get a fresh look at it tomorrow. Obsessing can lead to either throwing it across the backyard or nit-picking. Anyways...... have a pleasant evening. I think I need some good old fashioned escapism from the news - an hour of American Idol should do the trick.

I am a bit clueless about what they are looking at...and the table in the middle of the painting...what's it there for....aaaaaah, what the heck...I love your paintings so much...I don't care if the people are upside down...
I have only one word....
Remarkable.
fabulous. The floor is its own work of art.
Looks done to me! Fabulous!
best,
Todd
This is fantastic Karen, you should give yourself a really good reward, chocolate and American Idol, it is great, even the highly critical HBB likes it and that is praise indeed, love the light, love the shadows, love the mystery.
You is flyin girl!
"feedback"? splendid work! bright and haunting at the same time, not an easy thing to do.
I love it.....the UNdefined people just lend a little air of mystery.
The reflection in the floor is extremely well done.....you are awesome at painting exactly what you see...Values are spot on!
i like it karin. the people are doing that always powerful "triangle" thing. i think a title will help some of your other fans solve the mystery of what the people are looking at. it definetly doesn't matter though. love the floor.
Superb work, Karin.
looks like you are trying to break away, well this one is it you have breakaway. this one of your best, good luck.
Excellent! I love the contrasts between light & shadow; warm & cool.
I want this. Is it for sale?
