Fantastic flashes of orange in the skin and lips...these little appearances of colour scattered throughout your pieces to create harmony are by far my favourite features of your work. They're intelligent and work like a dream.

This orange is perfect.

The violets and oranges are beautiful. Great job in capturing his attitude in the gesture of his head.

Probably my favorite so far... such soulful colors and pose...a real beauty.

A question (know you love those) what was the backgound color? Looking at so many mug shots, do you feel like you step into the psychology of your subjects? (ok it was two questions)

The background color is a medium purple, really nice tone to paint on, especially for dark skin. I don't want to sound cold, but I see most subjects as objects to paint. Finding that meaningful feature that 'says it all' is intriguing to me.

100 faces: LOVE them!
The expression in each face is amazing. I must admit, I'm quite jealous :)

Happy Friday!

yhs.

I love this series and am inspired to try one of my own. The colors are terrific. Where do you come by the mugshots?
