I'm back in the driver's seat - my Mac had to be rushed to the hospital and of course I am reminded of how vital this machine is to my existence. The good thing - I had no choice but to get caught up with long-neglected chores. And I've been helping out with plans for an upcoming 30th high school reunion. Yes, 30 years.
Since the summer is coming to an end, I squeezed in this new painting - a young lady enjoying a good book in the sunshine on the beach of Hilton Head Island.

Once again, I have to say that your work is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove your style. Great painting!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you keep coming up with such good designs. I'm so envious.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how connected we become to our computers. My computer at work has been out for 3 days and it's driving me crazy! Love this painting. I am always amazed at your brushstrokes. Up close they seem cluttered, but back up and they disappear into a perfect painting. I wish I could take classes from you. Keep painting!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you work with light. The sand has a "glittering" quality - well done.
ReplyDeleteGood job on her hair.

Hi Karin
ReplyDeleteI love how you connect your people to their surroundings. Your colors work so well whether on the beach or at the farm of the Pennsylvania Dutch. Bravo
