You may have seen several 'mugs' of our Hilton Head Gang - the talented women who were in my workshop last fall - we're all doing paintings of each other and creating a book. So I'm catching up and painting the remainder of those I've missed. This is the most fun. I love doing these.
This is my version of Maria Hock aka The Enforcer - the very one who dreamed up this project.
I love it! I learn so much from your strokes...always so confident and bold.
ReplyDeleteLove this and know how much it means to Maria to have her mug finally done at the end of the long line! Gorgeous skin tones and such a wonderful intensity in the eyes! Perhaps you saved the best for last:):)
ReplyDeleteJust have to say again: LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd apart from being a great portrait (that's not a mug anymore!) and a perfect likeness, this is also such a wonderful study in color placement and mixing...
Another AMAZING mug!!!
ReplyDeleteMaria ain't the last one, I've got more coming.
ReplyDeleteYou guys need to join me again this fall - I'd love it.
This is amazing! Wonderful mug!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! Wonderful mug!
ReplyDeleteUn somptueux travail avec cette belle lumière dans ce portrait.
ReplyDeleteGros bisous à vous.
Wow! Great job! It looks like Maria could just walk through that painting!
ReplyDeleteCRAZY what you can do on a 4 x 4"!! This is so nice Karin! MAybe you should do glamor shots of your next workshop folks. Hair all teased up and lots of make up.
ReplyDeleteI was looking through my photos the other day and loved seeing my smiling Karin pictures. Such a fun time.
Gorgeous lighting! Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThese Hilton Head Gang paintings are gorgeous! The colors and strokes are so precisely right. A pleasure to look at!
