As I was working on this guy, it almost felt like I was using pastels. Rather than thick daubs of paint - I thinned it out a bit then used a more dry brush to add detail. Love the results.

Karin... I wanted to let you know before the finish that I've learned so much watching these faces coming to life. Thank you for doing this project and sharing it. . Will you continue with more or will this be it?
Can't wait to see these all together one day. Think you said you would show us. These are so fun to look at. Out of these last several I absolutely love # 76 and # 86. I love your continued enthusiasm for the project.

It really does give a different look to the portrait. I like it.
Nice drybrush technique and I like the touch of color on his ear.
I can see the pastel "feel" on the shirt and hits of the grey hair.

I have really enjoyed this whole series, this painting has now won my most favorite of the "100 Faces". I love the simplicity and spontaneity.
