"100 Faces, No. 80"

4 x 4"

I could have gone further with this - but I really loved it as is. I started on a soft-purple, oddly chose to surround the head with much of the same tones in the skin - I usually opt for a contrasting color.

Beautiful colors and I like the skin tones repeated in the background. I does give a different feeling to the painting, especially since this is a woman. The violet softens her portrait.

Can't wait until October 31!! Very excited!! :-)

Really nice harmony with the same colors from the background echoed in the flesh tones

I'm really impressed with the way you make cool, cool skintones work so well.

Love the softness this palette offers. Feminine for lack of a better word. Too early in the morning here to come up with a one that would best fit this work.

Wow, this one feels very different from the rest Karin. Has almost a watercolor feel to it, especially the hair. Love it!

I must agree with the other commentors on this piece. The colors are very beautiful, soft, almost- melodic even (if that even makes sense). ;)
