This is one of those paintings that I'd like to keep for my own. I'm completely in love with it. But ..... painting is my livelihood and the best I can hope for is they all get a good home.

Excellently executed as usual but most of all I love the subject - I've been in that lady's position so many times! Once again you've tapped the human condition, you ROCK!
This is one of my BESTEST of your lot! Everything seems to be happening but at the same time it isn't a busy piece. Even the walls speak!
Incredible painting! I can see why you'd like to keep it for yourself!
Beautiful work, Karin. I can see why you would have wanted to keep this one!
What a wonderful painting, especially for the architectural interior and lighting. You just keep getting better and that's saying a lot!
Awesome! I love the texture on the gold wall.
Karin, you amaze me! You capture the slightest gesture that really makes the painting tell a story. I had the great joy of seeing your work in person at the Asheville gallery. Loved them even more in person. I saw quite a few red dots. Congrats.
jacki
love the complimentary gold/yellow walls together with the purple...done subtlely---gorgeous
I can see why you are in love with it...I am too!
My favorite museum in NY - I have stood on that very spot. In fact, is that me you captured? ;) Great work as always Karin.
So warm and lovely, Karin!
I don't get to comment very often because, like most people I imagine, I get all your new work by RSS feed.
I just had to come to your blog to say how much I love what you're doing.
The limited palate and the detail of that balustrade make this piece so appealing. The figure is so spot on. I wish I knew why your people always look so naturally posed.
Love your work.
The textures you've created in the building are absolutely fabulous! I wonder if the woman in the painting knows that she's part of a work of art :)
This is fabulous in every way, what a stunning painting you did. LOVE the walls in this one. What an inspiration you are Karin!
Love this one :)
I'd have to say that this is also a favorite of mine too. The texture gives it a look of real plaster on those walls, the colors also lending to that feeling. I find myself just awed by the architecture and wanting to see this place now!
Just out of curiosity, what pushes your button, with this painting?
Wow, this is really nice!
I agree with your comment. The complements work beautifully.
Karin...This is one of your best...I love it, too! Looks like you used the pallet knife again, with excellent results.
Steve, it pushes all the buttons!!! Masterfully painted, Karin! I especially like the lavender bits with the luminous gold.
Wow - no other words.
Some things can't be exchanged for money, and I supect you will always remember this piece with a small pang of regret if you let it go. I believe it is really important to keep some of our best work along the way for our own collection, they act as cheerleaders on our down days, and they become an important and meaningful collection for your family down the road.
This is a beauty. I know I would want to keep it.
It sing, sing, sings...
Well there's no reason you can't have a single print made for yourself. :)
i think this is my favorite of all time....perfect...love it!!
I love these colors!!! Ahhhhh!
Nice one! These latest three have a crispness that I look for in your work. Very nice.
It's fabulous....keep it!
Or at least get visiting rights from the buyer! Lol ;)
My yes, I see why you want to keep it. Lovely color harmony with wonderful golden yellows throughout.
Simply wonderful!!!
