That's an inspired composition - the subdued background contrasting the minty green socks. I love it! It reminds me very much of my dad, he's famed for his outrageously bright socks. My mother has been known to hide the ones she finds too insane to stop him from wearing them! Never underestimate the power of socks - which clearly you haven't :)
Love the mint socks against the subdued background. I am sogned up for your Hilton Head workshop and can barely wait. Admired your work for quite a while.
Pretty bold of you to put minty fresh and older gentleman's socks in the same sentence....but it definitely works. I never tire viewing your work, always so confident.
this is fabulous. I'm really impressed at your courage in cropping the heads off of figures. The paintings are so great that the viewer doesn't care :D
Love it.

ReplyDeleteHow do you paint it that from the first glance I know that the socks owner is old and resting? And reading your comment only proves it. Magic.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous title and I love that this older gent shows some spark! Great job, Karin.
