"Minty Fresh"

Sometimes I think I do my best paintings on rainy days. Less distractions. Total Zen.

This older gentleman was resting out in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in his minty-fresh socks.

  2. That's an inspired composition - the subdued background contrasting the minty green socks. I love it! It reminds me very much of my dad, he's famed for his outrageously bright socks. My mother has been known to hide the ones she finds too insane to stop him from wearing them! Never underestimate the power of socks - which clearly you haven't :)

  3. How do you paint it that from the first glance I know that the socks owner is old and resting? And reading your comment only proves it. Magic.

  8. Pretty bold of you to put minty fresh and older gentleman's socks in the same sentence....but it definitely works. I never tire viewing your work, always so confident.

  10. this is fabulous.
I'm really impressed at your courage in cropping the heads off of figures. The paintings are so great that the viewer doesn't care :D
