Tons of fun with this new piece - I don't do many still-lifes but thoroughly enjoy them. A keen observation from my boyfriend, speaking up that this pile of vegetables would make a good painting. Great vivid, bold color - a perfect subject for using oils. The arrangement includes Georgia grown vegetables I picked up at a local produce stand - Vidalia onions, red tomatoes and Silver Queen corn. This new painting will be included in the Contemporary Realism show at 16 Patton opening June 13th.

Hi Karin, that is so right on realism. This is some fine art!
Wow! This is fabulous!
Love those colours that are so you, I can tell a Jurick from a mile away now.
Oh I love it love it love it. I love your still lifes, and remember a cheesecake you painted over a year ago that I just missed out on via eBay at the last minute and was so sad. I also remember an older one you did of strawberries close up. You've got it, girl. This is up there will my all-time favorites of yours. You can paint food like no other. Thiebaud? Bah. Jurick!
Fantastic, Karin! You really can paint anything well. Love the shadow on this!
