Karin, I especially love your brushwork on the first painting - the background color has its own shape and draws almost as much attention as the subject. I really admire your use of "chunky" shading and highlighting; it is a style that I aspire to in my own works.
What delightful paintings, Karin. The woman in the bathrobe could well be me, except mine is pink, and the children look just like my grands. I'm amazed at how good you are with your brushwork and shadows.
