"A Word In Edgewise"

Happy Halloween everyone.

A memorable scene for me as a grandmother and her two attentive granddaughters discuss the painting before them, Georges Seurat's "A Sunday at La Grande Jatte", which hangs in the Art Institute of Chicago. The two young girls seemed to really soak in a lot of the art in the museum. I enjoyed watching that.

  2. OMG - it reminds me of when my girls were little, I'd take them to art museums & we'd play "Scavenger Hunt". You start out in the gift shop & pick postcards of your 5 favorite paintings. whoever finds all theirs first wins. I thought the guards were going to croak when my little 8 year old (back then) ran into one room in the National Gallery - yelling "There's my painting!!" Great memories - my twins are 20 now & know that mom still needs her "art-fix" in whatever big city we go visit! This is yet another 'great one'!

  3. The control you manage while maintaining your remarkable brushwork and vibrant color is, well, utterly remarkable!
It may be tighter than you enjoy painting right now, but it is so lovely. Just beautiful.

  4. Love it, Karin! I like your frame much better than the one that is actually on it! ;)
