Allow me to introduce you to our gnarly Jack O'Lantern - freshly carved and ready to scare off the bad spirits. This was great fun to paint - something I've never done before.

You and Andrew Wyeth paint beautifully scary pumpkins.

I appreciate that Shirley - I was thinking of his pumpkin paintings when I was working on this. I'm a HUGE fan of Andrew & Jamie Wyeth.

Hi Karin,
I am lurking by your blog this evening.

I was in Asheville the past 2 days for a continuing education meeting, and got to see your originals in person. They look great on your blog, just as they do in real life.

Saw this painting on ebay and I am in love:) I'm a huge pumpkin carving fan . Check out my carved Headless Horseman pumpkin on my blospot if you ever have the chance. I know you're quite busy.
Jennifer (HUGE Wyeth fan as well, I live fairly close to The Brandywine River Museum)

You nailed that. Great mood. Crooked smile. AWESOME!

I had given thought to doing the same thing. I think you inspired me to carve a pumpkin to paint. Thanks :D
