I watched a lot of people approach Jasper John's "Flag" - icons generally draw everyone in. Kids especially. Me? I'm not so much a fan of Pop Art, but I will say John's painting is really impressive, in person. From the Museum of Modern Art, in New York.

    Hi Karin.
    I am a big fan of your work. I was wondering and curious, "Has anyone ever recognized themselves in your painting? Not family members and such, but strangers?

    No Andy, that hasn't happened yet - but a couple of months ago, two women wrote me to say they were in the same museum on the same day. In all my photos, I discovered that I captured one of those women viewing a painting. Amazing what a small world it really is.
