"Blue Birds"

10 x 8"
oil on panel

A new painting included in my grouping 'Met Life' - a group of school girls being led through the Sculpture Gallery in the Met.  I painted a small study of these girls months back and always wanted to go a little larger and play with the movement a bit more, as shown in the detail below.

I love what you did with it. I looks wonderful. Makes me smile and want to be there. A gallery tour? Bless them for inspiring our young!

Magnificent. What an inspiration you are. This piece has everything right... Drawing, values, color, linkage and paint quality.

I look at your posted paintings, each time we're lucky enough to receive an email from you, and just enjoy enjoy enjoy. And then this fabulous painting of the "blue birds" arrived in the mail box. I've kept this painting open on the desk top for 2 days now, clicking back to look at it and smile once again...and to study the shadows....you can just feel that one little girl tap dancing her away across the floor, one foot off of the floor - and oh did those mary janes bring back memories. Thank you, again, for your wonderful work!!! I hope your back is better soon!
