"Early in Sterling"

10 x 6"
oil on panel

A new painting added to the grouping for my show 'Here Comes The Sun' - a Hopper-like row of little houses in Sterling, Colorado, basking in the early morning sun.

This is just marvelous. Architecture is a real challenge for me to paint, so I love to see it so well-done like this painting.

I live in CO, and have never heard of Sterling! Time to hit Google Maps.

This is amazing!! Before I even read your post Hopper immediately came to mind. I love the light, the colors and the Hopperesque feel (He's one of my favorites). Absolutely gorgeous!!

My first thought when I saw the image was that this reminded me of Edward Hopper. So, I smiled when I saw your comment. This is beautiful!

Indeed, Hopper was my first thought, but the houses have a modern style O:-) Great work!

Very charming, love the light in the windows. Wondering if you ever paint large, if so how large?
