I've never been to an art auction. Although I've contributed paintings to several charity auctions in the past years, I've never been included in a for-profit art auction until now. Gulp. This Saturday night is the Annual Charleston Art Auction, held at the downtown Renaissance Charleston Hotel - and I'm going. Gulp. I have two paintings to be auctioned off - and patrons can either bid at the event, cast an absentee bid or call in a live bid. I just have to see this - it sounds very exciting. The auction is sponsored by Morris & Whiteside Galleries, who will be representing me - if you would like more information, please go to the official website for all contact information as well as a viewable catalog of the art featured in this event. Wish me luck - it's a brand-new adventure for me.
Click here to view my two paintings in the auction.
Happy Trails ........ I'll post some photos when I return.

Good luck and have a great time! Morris & Whiteside - great gallery. Really like this painting and the phone booth.
Karin,
Good luck and have a wonderful time.
Absolutely beautiful. You are a workaholic/or playaholic depending only on your world view. The consistancy of your work is inspiring.
Congratulations on getting into Morris & Whiteside-amazing gallery, and very established. Yay! You deserve all the success you're getting. Your work continues to amaze me.
Oh, you're gonna have fun at the auction. I attended the CM Russell Auction last March in Montana and had a blast. It was really exciting to watch especially when the painting that won best of show went for close to $200,000. It was so fun to watch and experience. Have fun and good luck!
What a wonderful experience! Good luck with your results and have a wonderful time!
