I start these paintings that have straight lines, buildings, etc... and I think why am I doing this? It's just plain hard work. But satisfying when it's done.
This scene is from Asheville, a couple of doors down from the 16 Patton Gallery where I show my work. It's the side window seating of a great restaurant called Salsa.

Are the monument and pole really leaning? Or is this humor?
I'm must start collecting some of your paintings before your prices goes through the roof! I love your work. I wish I could leave brush strokes, but my subject says no. I am amazed at your prolific production, and am so happy for you in your success!
I am thinking of getting a small job in a framing shop to mimic your background of seeing so much artwork.
Very nice. I like the "distance contrast" between the person in the background and the man in the foreground - there seems to be some secret relation between them (like sometimes in de Chirico's paintings) - you're getting metaphysical, without to become surreal. Masterly.
regarding the monument and the pole. This is Asheville, everything is on a hill and always looks a kilter.
