Sometimes I notice the perfect placement of art in museums. This was one of those times. Each piece stands alone as well as complimenting a nearby work of art.

This woman was viewing Joan Miro's "The Policeman", in the Art Institute of Chicago. I wish I could identify the sculpture. I suspect it is also a Miro. If anyone out there knows, please leave a comment.

Looks like it could be a Jean Arp to me, but not for sure.

Love your work!

Suzy is correct. It is "Growth" by Jean Arp. And here is yet another benefit to looking at your paintings - You have introduced me to another artist who I really enjoy. Jean Arp has some fantastic work that ties to other well known artists and I love discovering these jewels through your work. Thanks again!

In addition to your way of telling a story through paintings and people in your paintings, I love your titles... this one in particular is so perfect. For me it is an invitation to wander into the many dimensions of your painting. The "formation" that is happening in the Miro is illustrating what is happening to my imagination as I view this wonderful piece. I love this one. I wonder if I can afford it?
